Bio
An Artist Crossing
As a young person, I was drawn to creativity and self expression through artistic avenues. My portfolio at Baylor University reflected studies in charcoal, canvas, sculpture, and clay. Upon graduation, I launched

designing handcrafted greeting cards and producing custom tile projects.
Relocating to southern California graced me as a mom to my children Luke, Perry, and Claire (my greatest blessings). I volunteered as an artist in our community, local schools, fundraising organizations and church while maintaining my professional career producing acrylic and mixed medium artwork for clients.
Abruptly, life fractured in 2006 facing an aggressive Leukemia. The year brought cancer treatments, isolation, and fatigue, including relocation to Seattle for a bone marrow transplant. Despite turmoil, this “Part II” of my life brought rejuvenation for expressive writing and painting. I discovered most of my written words were deeply and emotionally consuming while blank canvases were increasingly filled with colorful palettes of energy and movement.
In the God space between, I found balance for my soul.
Today, I work from my studio just outside of Austin while continuing to spend much time in California. As an artist, I offer vision through dramatic, spirited art. I take freedom with dimension, color, and texture. My motivation to paint and write continues as an expression of my life journey.
